This is something that I found with my husband at his last neurologist appointment. He ordered a second cognitive test. The first was 2 years ago. This second test showed improvement. The dr who gave the test was surprised and took me aside to ask if anything had changed as people like him don't usually improve. After thinking about it. I said we found he only had one artery going to his heart which put him at 25% heart function or something like that. So he is now on lots of medicine so it's possible he wasn't getting enough oxygen to the brain. Another possibility was that he's been taking the intravenous medicine Ocrevus every 6 months. Both I guess would be enough to cause an improvement on their own together maybe a better outcome. His long term memory seems to have improved sad part is his short term memory hasn't. He forgets things that he was able to do the week before, where dirty glasses and plates go. On the other hand he can give detail on projects he use to work on or explain computers and how they work in detail so I guess what I'm say is I think they can improve. I want to try to get him playing computer games see if that helps any. I feel it might. I will be interested to see if anyone else has had improvement. I'd try just about anything to help my husband.
