With many chronic diseases, stress can lead to more symptoms and more visits to the doctor. The unpredictability of MS adds yet another layer of stress and anxiety to an already stressful condition. Does stress affect your symptoms and how do you manage it? What can you share about living with uncertainty?

There is a predictability about ms, stress, or the way I handle stress will predict symptoms, not specific symptoms but a strange variety of symptoms. I know for sure if I do not handle the stress well I will wind up at the doctor or hospital which causes more stress, worse stress, so I do everything I can to avoid a trip to the doctor and hospital. I do whatever it takes.

When I participated in the research project 'Take Charge of My MS', I didnt think I was going to learn anything, I was just doing it to pay back the community for all the kindness it has shared with me when I was first diagnosed. Fooled me! I learned more about how to cope with the surprises  of ms. I posted all the notes I have under the Topic, Treating MS, as Take Charge of My MS, if you are stuck and need support, please read the notes and do the exercises, they will make a positive difference in your life, and save you much grief and aggrivation.

It causes spasticity to get worse and it feels like someone is twisting the muscles titer and titer around my arms more so on the left side and the same goes with that leg and then it'll start jurking around and the fingers and hand mostly lleft side. Trying medical marijuana along my pain meds and relaxers like baclofin or valumn. It only helps a little bit but it doesn't take it away completely but leasons the affects of the severity of the spasms and pain. I hope that this helps some of you.
